Introduction

As the Global Demand Planner for the Growing Solutions Division at a leading global specialty minerals company, your focus is on ensuring an accurate supply chain forecast. Leveraging the NSKEP forecasting tool and market insights, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to generate realistic predictions. While sales remains responsible for the final forecast, you will play a proactive role in supporting and refining the process. Together, we aim to address sustainability challenges across diverse markets.


Tasks and Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility is to collaborate closely with sales to gather all necessary information and market data for accurate demand forecasting. You'll report projected demand in the system to support sales and continuously challenge them to update demand based on their insights, with monthly regional calls to discuss and confirm forecasts. Your input will be summarized and discussed with business leads. Additionally, you'll:

  • Monthly report and analyze forecast accuracy, facilitating sales to improve accuracy and challenging stock policies.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of forecast vs budget and prior years to support sales decisions.
  • Serve as a knowledge carrier and application manager for the forecasting tool, maintaining master data and facilitating reporting.
  • Timely prepare, analyze, and review budget volumes for the upcoming year, focusing on optimal phasing based on experience and statistical input.
  • Support SKU introductions in forecasting and provide overviews of new products as requested, contributing proactively to portfolio classification and monthly portfolio review meetings.
  • Monthly report and analyze excess stock, providing input for financial provisions quarterly, and seeking opportunities to reduce excess stock while facilitating attention to reject inventories in monthly meetings.


Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a relevant bachelor's degree and a deep understanding of marketing, sales, and supply chain processes, backed by significant experience in these areas.
