Marianco is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and empowering vulnerable children by fighting against child trafficking, child pornography, and child prostitution. Founded by Francisco Padilla, a former street orphan from Cartagena, Colombia, Marianco aims to create a world where every child is safe, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and driven Communication & Fundraising Intern to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in raising awareness about our cause, securing funding to support our programs, and engaging with our community of supporters. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector while making a tangible impact on the lives of vulnerable children around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI talent management: Use our AI tools in all your work to enhance all output.
- Content Creation: Develop compelling content for our website, social media channels, newsletters, and fundraising campaigns.
- Fundraising Initiatives: Assist in planning, executing, and evaluating fundraising strategies, including online campaigns, grant writing, and donor outreach.
- Team Growth: Build and maintain volunteer & internship scouting & onboarding via multiple platforms.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and supporters through effective communication and outreach.
- Market Research: Analyze trends in the nonprofit sector to identify potential fundraising opportunities and communication strategies.
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and promotion of fundraising events and awareness campaigns.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with our small but dedicated team to brainstorm and implement new ideas for advancing our mission.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Interest in nonprofit work, particularly in child protection and advocacy
- Experience with social media management, content creation, or fundraising is a plus
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week
