Data Scientist AI/ML – 1-Year Contract
We’re looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to help transform how wireless network performance and capacity planning are done. If you’re passionate about building cutting‑edge AI systems, deploying models at scale, and shaping the future of network intelligence, this role is for you.
Workstyle: Mobile (remote-friendly)
Hours: 7.5 per day
Duration: 1-year contract
Extension: Possible
Travel: None required
Must-Have Experience
We’re looking for someone with strong hands‑on technical depth in AI/ML:
- 4+ years in AI/ML or applied data science, including end‑to‑end model deployment.
- Proficiency with Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and data engineering tools.
- Experience with cloud AI infrastructure (GCP preferred), including technologies like Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, or similar.
- Solid understanding of LLMs and Generative AI, including tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
- Experience experimenting with or building agentic AI systems or multi-agent orchestration tools (e.g., CrewAI, LangGraph, OpenDevin).
- Strong understanding of DevOps/MLOps, CI/CD, and production model integration.
- Excellent communication and data storytelling skills—able to tie technical AI outputs to business value.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of telecom or network engineering (e.g., RAN, capacity planning, 4G/5G KPIs).
- Experience building interactive ML dashboards using tools like Grafana or Streamlit.
- Exposure to Responsible AI / Explainable AI (XAI).
- Entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for taking ideas from concept to production.
What You’ll Work On
Strategic AI Development
- Define and execute an AI roadmap for network capacity planning and performance forecasting.
- Translate business needs—like capacity expansion, congestion management, and budget optimization—into measurable AI initiatives.
- Advocate for responsible, scalable AI adoption across the engineering and data science teams.
AI/ML System Design
- Build and productionize models for forecasting, anomaly detection, and trend analysis across massive network datasets.
- Develop agentic AI systems that autonomously monitor, analyze, and recommend or perform optimization tasks.
- Build LLM-powered tools that enable natural‑language access to network analytics (e.g., via RAG or vector databases).
- Contribute to “self‑healing network” capabilities that automate responses to performance issues.
MLOps & Infrastructure
- Establish robust ML model lifecycle management, monitoring, and retraining processes.
- Integrate AI systems with existing GCP infrastructure and internal tools.
- Optimize multi‑source data pipelines for large-scale network data.
Team Environment
You’ll join a highly skilled group of RF engineers and data scientists who have spent years building and optimizing a world‑class wireless network. Now, the team is ready to go further—using advanced AI systems to reinvent how network operations are done.
And they’re looking for YOU to help lead that transformation.
