We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to take the lead in leveraging advanced analytics and experimentation to improve how we acquire and retain users. This role offers a rare opportunity to work on high-impact projects, turning data into actionable insights that directly shape business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Insights: Use statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, and data modeling to uncover trends, diagnose issues, and provide actionable recommendations for optimizing marketing spend and user acquisition strategies.
- Experiment Design: Lead the design and execution of A/B tests, causal inference models, and other experimentation techniques to validate hypotheses and drive decision-making.
- Data Visualization & Reporting: Build and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools such as SQL, Python, R, and visualization platforms like Tableau or Looker, ensuring clear communication of findings to key stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, operations, and finance teams to translate complex data into practical solutions, influencing strategy across departments.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage relationships with key business leaders, providing insights into user behavior, marketplace dynamics, and long-term trends.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and mentor junior data scientists, contributing to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, consulting, or a related quantitative role, with a proven track record of delivering strategic projects from start to finish.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis and modeling, alongside experience with predictive modeling, ETL, and experimentation techniques (A/B testing, hypothesis testing).
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to structure and solve complex problems using data-driven approaches, with strong experience in interpreting and presenting data insights.
- Collaboration: Strong cross-functional partnership skills, with a clear and concise communication style that can influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Tools: Expertise in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) to create executive-level dashboards and track key business metrics.
