We’re looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our client's growing data team.
What you’ll be working on
As the first junior hire in our dedicated data science practice, you will have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact. You will work alongside our team to analyze large datasets, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights that will directly influence our business and the success of our clients. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to apply their skills to real-world challenges and help shape the future of our data strategy in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze large and complex datasets from various sources related to Amazon sales, advertising, and logistics.
Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models for tasks like sales forecasting, inventory optimization, and pricing strategies.
Collaborate closely with the software engineering members of our technology team to integrate data science models into our production systems.
Communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must-Haves
✅Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering.
✅A strong foundation in fundamental mathematical and statistical concepts.
✅Deep proficiency in Python for data science, encompassing both its core libraries (e.g., pandas, polars, NumPy, scikit-learn) and modern software development practices (e.g., version control with Git, testing, documentation).
✅Proficiency with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
✅Excellent English communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a small, distributed team.
Nice-to-Haves
➕Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
➕Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
➕Experience with, or a strong interest in, modeling dynamic systems (e.g., using concepts from control theory, physics, or econometrics).
