Role Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist for our Tax & Platform Intelligence team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role involves applying data science methodologies to solve tax-related challenges, designing and implementing data-driven solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include conducting data analysis, developing models, visualizing data to inform decisions, and driving improvements in platform intelligence and user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Data Science, Data Analysis, and Data Analytics
- Experience with Statistics and applying statistical methods to interpret data
- Proficiency in Data Visualisation tools and techniques to present insights
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Familiarity with tax regulations or related domains is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
Responsibilities
Analyse structured platform and financial datasets
Identify patterns, anomalies, and optimisation opportunities
Develop predictive or rule-based models to improve processes
Support automation of internal workflows
Collaborate with product and operations teams
Ensure data quality and integrity
Requirements
2–5+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience working with structured financial or operational datasets
Experience with statistical modelling or machine learning
Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical teams
Ability to work independently in a remote team
Preferred
Experience in fintech, SaaS, or digital platforms
Exposure to financial or tax-related data
Experience with cloud data environments
