About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and talented Data Science Trainee to join our Bertelsmann Future Leaders Trainee Program. This 18-month program offers an exceptional opportunity for aspiring data scientists to develop their skills in a dynamic and innovative environment. As a trainee, you will work closely with diverse teams across various business units, engaging in data-driven projects that directly impact the company’s success. You will gain comprehensive insights into different sectors of Bertelsmann, explore new applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and contribute to pioneering solutions in the media industry. Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in data science through internships or research projects is essential. Candidates should possess advanced knowledge of machine learning techniques, database concepts, and familiarity with prompt engineering and generative AI applications. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL is required, with additional skills in R, Scala, Spark, or other languages considered advantageous. Experience with version control systems like GitHub is also important. The candidate should demonstrate solution-oriented thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams. Fluency in English is mandatory, and additional languages are a plus. Willingness to relocate multiple times to different locations is expected to support the program’s international nature.
