We are in search of a Data Science Consultant to enhance our remote team. This position suits individuals eager to utilize data to solve business challenges and skilled in managing projects from inception to completion. As a Data Science Consultant, you will play a key role in converting data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of ML/AI solutions while offering both technical leadership and strategic direction
- Design responsible AI systems tailored to client needs through careful planning and evaluation methods
- Champion AI adoption across organizational units, fostering the creation of new products and solutions
- Analyze business challenges faced by clients and demonstrate how ML/AI can effectively address them
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers while mentoring teams to enhance their expertise
- Monitor advancements in ML/AI technology and recommend innovative practices that align with regulations
- Facilitate coordination among business, legal, and technical stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Develop ML models, oversee scopes of work, and manage teams from initial sales to project delivery
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and effective communication
- Engage senior client stakeholders to advocate for organization-wide AI adoption
- Support sales efforts by assessing data opportunities, preparing responses to RFPs, and creating proposals
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT complemented by a substantial background in Data Science
- Over 3 years in leadership positions such as Lead, Manager, or Architect within Agile or hybrid setups
- Experience managing teams of 20 or more members
- Participation in several end-to-end project cycles or major product launches
- Leadership expertise in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI
- Proven qualifications in designing and deploying ML/AI solutions
- Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques, including deep learning, statistics, and model types
- Capability to engage senior stakeholders to secure project resources or funding
- Outstanding communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Understanding of translating complex business needs into practical ML/AI solutions
- Background in regulatory industries or regulatory technology roles
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Advanced proficiency in English for effective collaboration and relationship management
