About The Role

The Data Entry Specialist at Sharecare plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of patient information within our internal systems and client Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and adherence to strict confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and validating patient data, supporting the Release of Information (ROI) process, and ensuring data consistency across multiple platforms. This role thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where precision, efficiency, and professionalism are paramount. The Data Entry Specialist will also communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing to continuous process improvements and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update patient data within internal and client-facing systems
  • Access and navigate multiple EMR platforms to retrieve, validate, and process Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness while adhering to productivity benchmarks
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and client information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance service quality
  • Provide professional, courteous, and timely communication with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed
  • Participate in ongoing education and compliance training related to information governance and HIPAA standards
  • Support the Release of Information (ROI) process by managing data requests efficiently and securely
  • Maintain awareness of organization’s information governance policies and procedures
