About The Role

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for processing client eligibility changes and ID card requests accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. This remote position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to navigate client management portals and carrier systems effectively. You will support internal teams and clients by managing data updates and communications promptly to maintain trust and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Process all client eligibility changes and ID card requests within specified timeframes
  • Respond promptly and accurately to requests from clients and internal agency staff
  • Update client management portal with current and accurate information
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and insurance carrier representatives
  • Attend team meetings to stay informed of agency policies, procedures, and industry updates
  • Communicate complex carrier decisions to clients, escalating issues as needed
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and support to foster strong client relationships

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in technical or administrative support roles (required)
  • Experience with employee benefits software (required)
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related fields and experience in employee benefits industry (preferred)
  • Virginia Life and Health Insurance License (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and client management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
  • Commitment to staying current on industry trends and regulations
