About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to join our team remotely, supporting our ophthalmology research initiatives. The successful candidate will assist in preparing digital ocular scans for analysis by converting image formats, running segmentation software algorithms, and manually correcting segmentation lines to ensure accuracy. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity of our data and supporting clinical research efforts. While this position does not involve coding or programming, it requires proficiency with proprietary software, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The role offers flexibility in work hours and the possibility for extension or conversion to an ongoing appointment based on organizational needs and funding.

Employees will be required to attend onsite meetings quarterly in Madison, WI, to facilitate collaboration and team engagement. The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire, allowing for a balanced work-life experience. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (preferred)
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Experience working in optometry and ophthalmology settings
  • Experience working in a clinical or office setting
  • Experience with clinical trials is a plus
  • Proficiency with proprietary software for image analysis
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable remote workspace

Responsibilities

  • Review and examine segmentation lines in ocular images for accuracy and completeness
  • Manually correct segmentation lines to ensure precise image analysis
  • Prepare and optimize digital ocular scans for analysis using proprietary software
  • Convert image formats and run segmentation algorithms without coding responsibilities
  • Enter relevant data into systems and national databases accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain adherence to university standards regarding data privacy and security
  • Sort and prepare documents for data entry and analysis
  • Review metadata, images, and documentation to ensure quality and consistency
  • Participate in quarterly onsite meetings in Madison, WI, for collaboration and training
  • Support ongoing research projects by ensuring data integrity and proper documentation
