Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- At least 1+ years of experience with Python or a comparable scripting language
- Experience with data warehousing including data modeling and technical architecture
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes and building high-volume data pipelines
- Experience with reporting and analytical tools
- Knowledge of query optimization, data structures, transformation, and workload management
- Hands-on experience with big data and cloud architecture, especially GCP
- Experience deploying and scaling applications within containerized environments like Kubernetes or AKS
- Familiarity with real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark Streaming
- Ability to solicit complex requirements and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
- Educational background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fields; Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred
- Design, develop, and optimize analytical data models in BigQuery, including partitioning, clustering, and materialized views for performance and cost efficiency
- Implement and maintain data pipelines that securely ingest, transform, and process large healthcare datasets from various sources
- Develop integrations with external systems using APIs, flat files, and hybrid approaches utilizing GCP-native tools and custom services
- Build and automate CI/CD pipelines for deploying data workflows using tools like Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, setting up observability tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Error Reporting to ensure reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies, including access controls and IAM best practices
- Participate in agile development processes, contributing to continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving
- Maintain documentation of data architectures, pipelines, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance
