Position: English Voice Coach / Audio Captioning Expert
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $20-$65/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Analyze and annotate short audio recordings, focusing on tone, pitch, timbre, and clarity.
- Assess speakers’ emotion, personality, and intent through verbal and non-verbal vocal cues.
- Evaluate technical aspects of voice production, including articulation, breath control, and expressiveness.
- Deliver clear, structured written feedback on vocal performance and technique.
- Collaborate asynchronously with teams to refine annotation guidelines and analysis standards.
- Maintain high consistency and attention to detail across all audio assessments.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in vocal techniques and sound production.
- Background as a voice-over artist, voice coach, music teacher, or similar role.
- Experience in voice coaching, speech analysis, linguistics, phonetics, or related fields.
- Ability to identify subtle differences in vocal quality and delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1–C2 proficiency).
- High attention to detail with the ability to provide nuanced, professional evaluations.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
