This role offers the opportunity to bridge business needs with data-driven insights, supporting analytics initiatives across diverse projects. You will gather and document requirements, transform them into analytical specifications, and assist in building dashboards, reports, and predictive models. The position requires strong collaboration with data engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, accurate, and compliant with regulations such as HIPAA. You will participate in testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of analytics workflows while maintaining comprehensive documentation. This full-time remote role includes occasional travel to the home office in Morrisville, NC, providing an engaging environment for professional growth and impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead discovery sessions to capture business objectives, KPIs, and reporting needs
  • Produce requirements artifacts including BRDs, data modeling diagrams, and acceptance criteria
  • Profile, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for data pipelines, models, and BI solutions
  • Plan and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for dashboards, reports, and predictive models
  • Support go-live activities, monitor production runs, and perform data reconciliations
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and knowledge base resources
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on data definitions, delivery schedules, and governance standards
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and enhance analytics efficiency


Requirements

  • Vocational/technical training, associate's, or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in data analytics or data science depending on education level
  • Strong SQL skills (preferably T-SQL) and familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of SDLC, data governance, and documentation platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of HIPAA and other relevant compliance requirements
