Our client is a payments technology company seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage and analyze transactional data, portfolio profitability, and partner success metrics. This role combines payment processing oversight with portfolio analytics, providing insights that drive strategy and decision-making. The analyst will work across transaction lifecycles, from individual payments to financial outcomes, and deliver reporting and recommendations that shape both operational performance and partner programs.
What You Will Do
- Analyze transaction-level data such as card payments, ACH activity, and residuals for trends, anomalies, and performance drivers.
- Develop portfolio performance summaries and exposure analysis across products, partners, and time horizons.
- Review and reconcile payment transactions, ensuring compliance and accuracy across systems.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transaction reporting.
- Define and track partner success metrics, including engagement, growth, and satisfaction.
- Build dashboards and scorecards to measure partner health, revenue impact, retention rates, and pipeline contribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting that supports go-to-market decisions.
- Analyze partner trends to identify risks, opportunities, and expansion areas.
- Establish benchmarks and success thresholds to guide performance reviews.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership for data-driven decision-making.
- Use data modeling to evaluate payment activity and portfolio changes.
- Provide forecasting, scenario planning, and actionable analytics for executive and commercial teams.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve payment and data-related issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements for data pipelines, reporting automation, and system integrations.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis within a payments acquiring company.
- Strong portfolio analytics skills with the ability to link transactional data to strategic outcomes.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, benchmarking, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI/financial tools such as NetSuite, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks related to financial transactions and data governance.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail in working with large, complex datasets.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
