Position Summary
Ascot Group is seeking a motivated and analytical Part-Time Data Analyst to support our growing Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in data analysis and visualization, who is looking to contribute impactful insights in a flexible, part-time capacity. You'll work with cross-functional teams to help transform data into actionable intelligence, supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
- Translate complex datasets into clear, concise business insights for stakeholders
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve underwriting, risk management, and operational efficiency
- Assist in data quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with IT, Underwriting, and other business units to align analytics with strategic goals
- Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing a degree) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a data analytics or reporting role preferred (internship or part-time experience welcome)
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Familiarity with Python, R, or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
