Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and root-cause analysis
- Support strategic decision-making with data-driven recommendations
Reporting & Visualization
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI / Tableau / Looker
- Automate recurring reports and MIS dashboards
- Present insights clearly to leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams
Data Management
- Extract, clean, validate, and transform data from multiple sources
- Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
Business Collaboration
- Work closely with product, finance, HR, operations, and leadership teams
- Understand KPIs and business metrics across departments
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support urgent business needs
Advanced Analytics (Senior Levels)
- Forecast trends and build predictive models (where applicable)
- Support data-driven process improvements
- Mentor junior analysts and review analytical work
- Define data standards, best practices, and documentation
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros preferred)
- Experience with Power BI / Tableau / Looker
- Hands-on experience with Python or R (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib preferred)
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
Analytical & Business Skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and explain insights clearly
- Experience working with business stakeholders and leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good to Have
