The Role

XCM is looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing team.


We’re looking for someone with strong SQL experience, excellent Excel skills, and a genuine passion for using data to drive performance. You’ll work across a range of sectors including Retail, Sports, and Gaming, supporting industry-leading brands by delivering clear, actionable insights — often at pace.


This is a fully remote role, but you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team. You’ll work closely with Lead Analysts, the Client Team, and wider stakeholders to answer business questions, measure campaign performance, and help clients make smarter, data-driven decisions.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning end-to-end analysis for a range of client and internal requests, from quick-turn insight to deeper performance reviews
  • Using SQL to extract, validate, and manipulate large datasets
  • Building and maintaining visual reporting and insight outputs using XCM’s Horizon BI tool, ensuring stakeholders can quickly understand performance, trends, and opportunities
  • Measuring performance and ROI across online and offline marketing activity
  • Analysing customer and campaign behaviour across channels including:
  • Email
  • Web & onsite behaviour
  • SMS
  • Direct mail
  • Social & engagement trends
  • Reporting on marketing and customer KPIs such as leads, conversion rate, traffic, engagement, and revenue impact
  • Producing insight and recommendations that directly influence campaign optimisation and strategic planning
  • Supporting BAU reporting schedules while also delivering ad-hoc analysis requests with speed and accuracy
  • Creating clear, visually impactful outputs (reports, decks, dashboards) that translate complex data into a story
  • Supporting and contributing to larger analytical projects and roadmap work
  • Presenting insight and recommendations confidently to colleagues and clients where required


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong SQL experience (essential) — confident writing queries to work with large, real-world datasets
  • Strong Excel skills (essential) — comfortable with formulas, pivots, and working with complex spreadsheets
  • Confident handling multiple priorities, working at pace, and delivering to deadlines
  • Strong analytical thinking — able to spot trends, inconsistencies, and commercial opportunities
  • Able to explain insight clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive and organised — comfortable taking ownership and pushing work forward independently
  • Collaborative mindset — enjoys working with others and contributing to shared delivery


Bonus (nice to have)

  • Experience with BI / visualisation tools — Superset would be a strong advantage
  • Experience in marketing, CRM, ecommerce, or customer analytics
  • Exposure to big data environments, warehouses, or automated reporting
