Data Analyst II
Location: Remote (with option to work hybrid or onsite from 12 U.S. office locations)
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 base + bonus + full benefits (401(k), health, and more)

About the Role and the Company
James Search Group is partnering with a leading property & casualty insurance carrier to hire a Data Analyst II to join their growing analytics team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with 1–3 years of experience who is eager to deepen their skills in SQL, BI tools, and modern data platforms.
The Data Analyst II will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and senior analysts to design dashboards, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced analytics tools in a highly respected, innovative insurance organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze structured and semi-structured datasets to support business objectives
- Design and build dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau to deliver actionable insights
- Write complex SQL queries to extract and transform data across multiple sources
- Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, and product teams to identify reporting needs and ensure data accuracy
- Support the development of scalable data models and reporting frameworks that improve efficiency and transparency
- Assist in process automation and documentation to streamline analytics workflows
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau for reporting and visualization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to dbt and Databricks
- Experience with Python for data analysis or automation
- Familiarity with property & casualty (P&C) insurance concepts a plus
