Position Summary

Ascot Group is seeking a motivated and analytical Part-Time Data Analyst to support our growing Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in data analysis and visualization, who is looking to contribute impactful insights in a flexible, part-time capacity. You'll work with cross-functional teams to help transform data into actionable intelligence, supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, concise business insights for stakeholders
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to improve underwriting, risk management, and operational efficiency
  • Assist in data quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with IT, Underwriting, and other business units to align analytics with strategic goals
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing a degree) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in a data analytics or reporting role preferred (internship or part-time experience welcome)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
