About The Role
The Data & Systems Analyst position at Aecon offers a unique opportunity to support critical nuclear projects, including the Darlington New Nuclear Project. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and visualizing data related to workforce training, operational activities, and project performance. Your role will involve developing dashboards, automating workflows, and supporting digital transformation initiatives that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Working closely with training, construction, and leadership teams, you will ensure data integrity, facilitate continuous process improvements, and provide actionable insights to support project execution. This position reports directly to the Manager, Data & Systems Analyst, and plays a vital role in advancing Aecon’s commitment to safety, innovation, and excellence in nuclear construction projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience with data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Excel
- Strong understanding of database management and development
- Experience in workflow automation and process improvement
- Knowledge of nuclear or large-scale industrial project environments is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards within the nuclear sector is an asset
- Collect, manage, analyze, and interpret training, operational, and workforce data to support project decision-making
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to enhance visibility into workforce readiness, safety, quality, production, and costs
- Support leadership reporting requirements, including Layered Leadership Model (LLM) reporting
- Design and implement automated workflows to streamline reporting, compliance tracking, and data collection processes
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and adherence to reporting standards across platforms
- Coordinate and support business intelligence systems such as Power BI, Power Apps, and related tools
- Develop and maintain databases supporting training, operational, and project reporting needs
- Act as a liaison with software vendors for system troubleshooting, upgrades, and development
- Provide ongoing analytical and systems support to project teams and internal stakeholders
- Consolidate training and compliance data from multiple sources into unified reporting platforms
- Develop procedures, documentation, and deliver training on new software tools and systems
- Apply statistical and process analysis techniques to assist in planning and execution phases
- Manage workload independently while aligning with project timelines and stakeholder needs
- Travel to remote project sites as required to support on-site data and system needs
- Competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
