About The Role

The Sr. Data Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Business Analytics department, supporting critical billing and customer experience initiatives for a prominent Group O client. This temporary position, expected to run from January 2026 through December 2027, offers an exciting opportunity to lead analytical efforts in a remote setting operating under Pacific time. The successful candidate will serve as the primary analytics partner, collaborating closely with marketing and finance teams to design rigorous testing methodologies, develop insightful dashboards, and communicate complex data findings to stakeholders with diverse technical backgrounds.

The role primarily focuses on the Paperless Billing Initiative, where the analyst will design and implement test/control frameworks, define target audiences, and evaluate campaign performance. Additionally, the analyst will support various projects related to customer segmentation, billing migration analytics, and marketing performance analysis, contributing to strategic decision-making and process improvements. This position offers a unique chance to influence high-visibility projects impacting millions of customers while working within a collaborative and flexible environment.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and test/control experiments
  • Ability to create clear, actionable dashboards and reports using visualization tools
  • Strong data quality assurance and validation skills
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience managing high volumes of ad hoc analytical requests
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
  • Experience with cloud data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization (preferred)
  • Experience with Databricks or Jupyter Notebooks for exploratory analysis (preferred)
  • Background in marketing analytics, particularly campaign measurement and customer segmentation (preferred)
  • Knowledge of churn analysis and retention metrics (preferred)
  • Previous experience in subscription-based business models is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test/control group frameworks for paperless billing campaigns
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to define target audiences and exclusion criteria
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical questions from business stakeholders
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track test performance and key metrics
  • Provide guidance on test design methodology and ensure statistical rigor
  • Document campaign performance and communicate results effectively to non-technical stakeholders
  • Support CX-related marketing campaign tracking and analysis as capacity allows
  • Contribute to billing migration analytics projects, including customer segmentation and complexity tiering
  • Assist with general marketing performance analysis and deriving actionable insights
