Position Overview


Location: Canada


Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking a curious and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive our business decisions. The successful candidate will be an expert in data visualization, SQL, and statistical analysis, with a proven ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection & Cleaning: Extract data from primary and secondary sources; clean and "wrangle" data to maintain inventory and ensure accuracy.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Statistical Analysis: Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could affect business KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to define data needs and provide analytical support for various projects.
  • Database Management: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases.
  • Strategic Insights: Present findings to the management team, offering data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Advanced SQL skills are a must.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel (VBA, Power Query).
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; ability to "translate" data into business language.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a data analytics role (Canadian market experience or a local internship is a plus).
