🚨 The role
This is a hybrid role that spans ideation, creative wizardry, and on-set leadership.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit, performance-obsessed production team - working under our Head of Production, and alongside our performance creative team.
You’ll own up to 5 shoots per quarter - from the first brainstorm to the final frame.
No two days are the same. You might be:
- Leading ideation for an upcoming lifestyle shoot for a wellness brand
- Directing a celebrity on set (we work with LOADS!)
- Prepping schedules for a 2-pod production day
- Running a chaotic-but-beautiful founder shoot on location with only 3 hours, 2 setups, and 1 camera
- Reworking a plan in real-time when the talent’s late and the dog won’t fucking sit still
- Reviewing post-shoot coverage with the edit team to ensure we got the shots we needed
Before we continue, it’s probably important for you to understand WHY we exist, right?

We exist to take advantage of the link that social media and digital channels have on society, in a way that triggers a positive change in the world, by helping give the businesses who deserve to win an unfair advantage.
That’s why we partner with brands making the world better in their own way - from mental health tech to sustainable pet food. Every shoot has purpose behind the pixels.
This is a hybrid role built around three magical powers:
🎯 1. You own pre-production like a tactician
You understand the difference between a shoot and a Bright/Shoot.
We work in pods. We plan by setups. We squeeze every ounce of creative juice from a single day.
- You’ll lead the pre-prod for your pod (with our head of production owning the wider timeline)
- You know how to reverse-engineer setups from creative ideas
- You can sketch a schedule, assign roles, bang out scripts, and still have time to brief talent without breaking a sweat
- You’ve used Notion, or can pick it up fast. You love structure. You also know when to throw it out the window.
🎥 2. You’re a producer–director hybrid who thrives on set
This isn’t a client coddler or a clipboard holder.
You run your pod. You’re the energy.
- You’ve directed HiFi and LoFi shoots (often simultaneously), across studio and location setups
- You don’t panic - you pivot
- You care deeply about performance-first output, not just pretty shots
- You know how to speak to crew, clients, and talent - often at the same time
🧠 3. You’re an ideation machine
You don’t wait for the muse - you schedule it.
You’re fluent in story formats, skits, punchy narratives, podcast moments, social-first vox pops, and can spot a scroll-stopper from 10 metres away. You take a strategy or insight and spin out 10 usable ideas before lunch.
- You’ll work alongside a Performance Creative Alchemist (our strategic lead)
- You’ll bring a production-first perspective to ideation, ensuring what’s being cooked up can actually be captured
- You thrive in collaborative brainstorms, can think modularly, and know how to balance chaos with clarity
- AI-literate? Great. But judgment > prompts.
You’ll be a fit if:
- You’ve worked on ad creative before - especially D2C
- You’ve been hands-on with both production and performance
- You’re naturally collaborative and relentlessly proactive
- You’re organised, but scrappy. Calm, but fast. Strategic, but instinctive
- You’re based in London (or nearby) and willing to travel for up to six shoots per quarter
Bonus points for:
- Experience with editing/post (not essential - you won’t be doing any editing)
- A decent working relationship with AI tools
- A love for testing, learning, and iterating
This is not a traditional agency gig.
