🚀 Role Overview
The Creative Director of Social leads the vision, strategy, and execution of all social media work across clients. This role blends high-level creative leadership with hands-on social expertise, client partnership, and team mentorship. You will guide a global team, shape best-in-class social strategies, and ensure every deliverable meets both brand standards and performance goals.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Creative & Strategic Leadership
- Own and drive the overall creative vision for social across all clients, ensuring work is innovative, platform-native, and performance-driven.
- Oversee the full social media process end-to-end, managing both macro strategy and micro execution to ensure seamless delivery.
- Develop and refine scopes of work (SOWs) and contribute to client contracts for the social media department.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing social media team (minimum of 6 team members), fostering collaboration, growth, and creative excellence.
- Review all social deliverables before client delivery, ensuring they meet creative, strategic, and brand standards.
- Create a culture of trust, accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Client Partnership
- Serve as the primary, senior-level client contact for all social media matters.
- Lead client calls and presentations, confidently selling creative ideas and guiding clients as a strategic creative partner.
- Know when to push creative boundaries and when to adapt, always balancing innovation with client goals and realities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with account management and business development to translate creative ideas into compelling client solutions.
- Work fluidly across disciplines including design, copywriting, and video, with a strong understanding of social-first content and production workflows.
✨ Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring teams of 6+ people.
- Deep, up-to-date understanding of the social media landscape, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as platform algorithms, trends, and best practices.
- Strong social intuition — understands what content works, why it works, and how to turn creative ideas into high-performing campaigns.
- Exceptional client-facing, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to lead a global team with confidence, empathy, and humility.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Advanced fluency in English (written and verbal).
