The C++ Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting the C++ programming language and its community, including stewardship of the Boost C++ libraries. We're hiring a Creative Production Coordinator to support our marketing and creative operations.
About the role
The best way to describe this job: you take a project, like a t-shirt, from concept to people wearing it on their backs. Start to finish, the entire process. Design direction, vendor selection, production management, shipping, delivery, and confirmation that the shirts arrived where they were supposed to go.
You'll work closely with our Chief of Staff and Chief Marketing Officer on the production side of the Alliance's marketing and creative output. Most projects follow that same arc: something needs to exist in the world, and you're the person who makes it exist.
The core of the role is production coordination. You'll manage print production for marketing collateral, swag, signage, and event materials. You'll coordinate with print vendors and fulfillment providers. You'll organize shipping and delivery to conference venues and recipients, and confirm receipt with on-site contacts.
Alongside that, you'll handle ongoing design and layout work as it comes up, including YouTube thumbnails, social media graphics, newsletter visuals, web page layouts, event collateral, and similar deliverables. Volume varies. Some weeks will be heavy on design, others will be mostly coordination. You'll work within our established brand and visual identity rather than defining it, adapting and producing rather than inventing from scratch.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, production coordination, or in-house creative roles
- Working proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficiency with Figma for web and UI layout work
- Comfort designing within established brand guidelines, adapting and producing rather than inventing
- Experience coordinating with print vendors, shipping providers, and event suppliers
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple concurrent deliverables with hard deadlines
- Excellent written communication, since much of the coordination happens async across time zones
- Ability to work independently with light supervision
Nice to have
- Experience with YouTube thumbnail conventions and social media visual formats
- Light motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere)
- Familiarity with technical communities (open source, developer tools)
- Experience with conference or event collateral production
