Lead Growth Across Spain's Foodservice Wholesale Market
We are recruiting a Country Manager for Spain on behalf of an established Irish owned international food business supplying frozen food products into the foodservice sector.
The business has an established customer base across Spain, particularly within key tourist regions including the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, Costa Brava and other major hospitality destinations. Its customers are foodservice wholesalers supplying restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels and hospitality operators serving international tourists and expatriate communities.
This role combines strategic account management with business development. You will be responsible for strengthening existing wholesale partnerships while identifying and securing new opportunities across the Spanish market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with key foodservice wholesale customers across Spain
- Create and execute customer growth plans focused on revenue, distribution and profitability.
- Identify and secure new wholesale customers and route-to-market opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, promotional activity and annual trading
- terms.
- Work closely with customers to understand market trends, end-user demand and growth opportunities.
- Support new product launches and commercial activation programmes.
- Collaborate with internal teams across supply chain, operations and commercial functions.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, trade events and industry exhibitions.
- What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior foodservice sales, key account management, business development or country management role.
- Strong understanding of the foodservice wholesale sector.
- Experience selling frozen food products is highly desirable.
- Established relationships within Spanish foodservice wholesalers, distributors or hospitality supply channels would be a significant advantage.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with experience managing pricing, margins and customer agreements.
- Ability to build long-term customer partnerships and develop new business opportunities. Good understanding of hospitality, tourism and foodservice markets.
Fluent English & Spanish is essential.
