Country Manager/Sales Manager - Utility Scale Solar (Germany)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market reach and increase sales channels at a utility-scale level.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the solar and storage industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management to track progress and performance.
- Maintain and drive accurate forecasting through CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
- Drive a culture of customer-centricity and excellence in sales execution, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness in target markets.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build a pipeline of multi-million-dollar projects.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the renewable energy or solar industry.
- Extensive network of utility-scale developers & operators
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, customer needs, and the regulatory landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and influence.
- Proactive, hands-on approach across all organizational activities including business development and sales processes.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Knowledge of solar and BESS products, technologies, and industry trends is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in a start-up environment is desirable.
