A leading research organization is engaging senior corporate finance professionals for a high-impact contract project focused on evaluating and improving financial reasoning in large language models. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate LLM-generated outputs across corporate finance domains including valuation, M&A structuring, leveraged finance, and capital markets, assessing technical accuracy and reasoning quality
- Design and stress-test domain-relevant financial benchmarks that reflect real-world deal complexity and decision-making frameworks
- Provide structured, expert feedback on model performance to inform iterative improvements in financial reasoning capabilities
- Simulate and analyze complex transaction scenarios capital structure optimization, precedent transaction analysis, DCF methodology to surface gaps in model outputs
- Contribute to open-ended financial problem-solving tasks alongside a research team, translating practitioner intuition into testable evaluation criteria
Core Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in investment banking, private equity, financial consulting, or capital markets at a top-tier institution
- Fluency in valuation methodologies: DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and accretion/dilution modeling
- Proven ability to critically assess financial arguments, identify modeling errors, and articulate technical feedback in writing
- Strong command of M&A transaction mechanics, leveraged buyout structures, or capital markets execution
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative discipline
- Ability to work independently in an asynchronous environment with minimal oversight
Additional Strengths
- Exposure to cross-border transactions, restructuring, or complex capital structure advisory adds meaningful depth to evaluation tasks
- Prior experience writing financial training materials, case studies, or research reports accelerates contribution to benchmark design
