ROLE OVERVIEW


The Social Media Coordinator helps bring Social House festivals to life across our digital platforms. This role supports the planning, creation, and publishing of social content across multiple festival brands and markets — helping build excitement, grow audiences, and drive ticket sales.


The position plays a key role in capturing the energy of live events online, from building anticipation before the festival to sharing real-time moments from the crowd, the stage, and the fan experience.


The ideal candidate understands internet culture, music audiences, and how fans discover and share live experiences across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Reels.



CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


Content Creation & Publishing


  • Execute social media content calendars across festival brands and markets
  • Draft captions, stories, and posts that reflect each festival’s unique voice and audience
  • Coordinate and publish posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Assist with capturing short-form video and photo content during select festivals and event weekends for use across social channels.



Community Engagement


  • Monitor comments, messages, and tags across platforms
  • Respond to audience questions and engage with fans in a timely and brand-appropriate way, helping guide followers toward event information and ticket purchases.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify fan content and community conversation
  • Repost and highlight user-generated content from festival attendees



Content Coordination


  • Work closely with the Brand and Creative teams to plan social assets and creative requests
  • Collaborate with PR & Influencer teams to coordinate creator content and partnerships
  • Coordinate with Local Marketing teams to highlight community activations, partnerships, and city-specific promotions


Trend Awareness


  • Recommend new ideas for content that keep our brands culturally relevant and engaging
  • Identify opportunities to participate in online conversations and trends that align with festival audiences and brand voice



QUALIFICATIONS


  • 1–3 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands, events, or entertainment properties
  • Strong writing skills and understanding of platform-specific voice and tone
  • Experience creating short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Stories)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with social scheduling tools and basic analytics reporting
  • Experience in music, festivals, nightlife, and/or live events
  • Comfortable supporting social media coverage during festival weekends and major event announcements.


Preferred:

  • Basic photography or video editing skills
  • Strong understanding of internet culture and digital storytelling
