Position: Video Editor – AI Trainer
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $20-$50/hr

Role Responsibilities
- Analyze and annotate video content to improve AI understanding of cinematic language and shot composition.
- Collaborate with AI development teams to design, test, and refine training data for video editing models.
- Develop clear documentation and guidelines to explain video editing concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate AI-generated video edits and provide detailed feedback on pacing, transitions, and visual storytelling.
- Apply professional editing workflows and emerging cinematic techniques to enhance AI-driven tools.
- Stay current with video editing trends and integrate relevant techniques into AI training processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying gaps and enhancement opportunities in AI outputs.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience as a video editor with a strong, diverse portfolio.
- Deep understanding of cinematic language, visual storytelling, and shot composition.
- Strong analytical ability to break down video sequences and narrative techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
