The Construction Regional Director will be responsible for strategically managing client relationships by providing key business insights and expertise on all client situations that will ultimately drive loyalty, profitability and long-term client retention. A Regional Director exhibits strong leadership values that epitomize the culture of customer service within My Community Homes.
This individual will also oversee and create an environment of ownership and accountability for a team of community managers responsible for delivering property management products and services to our clients with a focus on exceptional customer service. A regional director must be adaptable and is always looking to motivate and inspire others to do their best.

Responsibilities
- Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality
- Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to Construction Superintendents to implement those decisions
- Meeting with clients, stakeholders and Regional VPs to report on project progress
- Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
- Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion
- Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
- Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project.
- Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams
- Carry out a review of work progress on a regular basis
- Oversee and handle the negotiation of terms of agreements, drafting of contracts, and the acquisition of permits and licenses
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
- Make sure that construction standards are of high quality and also ensure the use of proper construction techniques
- Plan, as well as make decisions to prevent problems and any emerging ones
- Monitors superintendents’ work for compliance with schedule, budget, quality, safety,
- and overall conformance with the contract documents
- Coordinate and direct the activities of Construction Superintendents in conjunction with the VP of construction
- Supports Authority safety vision and complies with all safety rules, policies, and
- procedures; maintains accountability for safety performance of subordinate

People Management
- Supports the onboarding of new Construction Superintendents
- Holds self and Field Construction Superintendents accountable for completing initial rehabs and activities in alignment with standard operating procedures, and owning issues and solving problems in collaboration with other departments to deliver measurable business results
- Has a regular construction crew meeting cadence to review key performance indicators, update on project timelines, discuss expectations, and review property initial rehabs budget.
Relationship Management
- Works alongside the leadership team to devise plans and relationship building activities based on the classification and importance of each State
- Executes on relationship management activities to identify issues and opportunities and develops detailed action plans to improve the property and relationship, with special attention on high risk projects
- Work through, influence and understand the financial and operational goals and objectives for each initial rehab project including but not limited to: developer transition, capital improvement projects, financial challenges, and Regional objectives.
- Partners with and leverages internal cross functional support teams
- Effectively leads the communication with the Company and Region
- Oversees the onboarding of new rehabs projects and establishes go-forward expectations
- Effectively manages the seamless transition of projects, to prevent any disruption in the levels of service with the Property Management entities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of High School diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or in any other construction-related field.
- 5 to 7 years' experience in property management, construction or Real Estate preferred
- Experience in operations, account management, development or construction an asset
- Valid state driver's license and state-mandated vehicle insurance.
- Possesses and maintains license certification in Project Management or Engineering strongly desired.

- Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and effective delivery of changes, solutions or updates to cross-functional teams
