About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee civil works for high-voltage substations and cable routes as part of a major grid infrastructure program. This role is critical to ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, supporting the successful integration of new energy assets into the national grid.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site civil construction activities for substations and cable routes, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain smooth execution of works.
- Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules, proactively addressing risks and delays.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all phases of construction.
- Oversee quality control processes and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Report regularly on site performance and provide input for continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing civil works for large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the energy or utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with high-voltage substations and cable installation is highly desirable.
- Fluency in Dutch, English is a plus.
