Job Responsibilities and requirements


1) Onboarding and customer due diligence

  • Review customer onboarding files (KYC/KYB), including:
  • identity verification results
  • PEP/sanctions/adverse media screening outcomes
  • customer risk classification
  • source of funds and source of wealth indicators where applicable
  • company extracts and registration documents
  • ownership and control structures
  • AML questionnaires
  • source of funds / source of wealth documentation
  • Ensure correct application of risk-based approach, including EDD triggers (e.g. high-risk jurisdictions, PEPs, unusual profiles)
  • Perform CDD and EDD assessments on shareholders, directors, and UBOs.
  • Assess complex ownership structures, identifying hidden control or risk indicators.
  • Ensure onboarding files meet DDA/DDO and FMA expectations in substance


2) Transaction monitoring

  • Review and validate transaction monitoring alerts generated.
  • Assess whether flagged transactions indicate:
  • unusual patterns
  • structuring behavior
  • rapid in/out flows
  • inconsistencies with customer profile
  • Conduct investigations in depth and quality of analysis
  • Challenge and refine monitoring scenarios, thresholds, and rules to improve effectiveness
  • Ensure consistent handling of alerts across both retail and corporate client


3) Suspicious activity handling

  • Draft, review, and escalate (internal)Suspicious Activity Reports in line with legal requirements
  • Ensure clear documentation of:
  • rationale for suspicion
  • investigative steps taken
  • decision-making process
  • Maintain complete audit trails for all escalated cases.


4) Quality assurance/control resting

  • Perform independent QA reviews of:
  • KYB and KYC onboarding files
  • transaction monitoring investigations
  • escalation decisions
  • Identify:
  • recurring errors
  • inconsistent decision-making
  • gaps in documentation or rationale
  • Provide structured feedback to Operations and track remediation


5) Auditability

  • Ensure all onboarding and monitoring records are complete, traceable, and audit-ready
  • Support preparation of regulatory reports, internal reviews, and FMA audits
  • Maintain documentation aligned with DDA, DDO, MiCAR expectations, and internal policies


6) Close collaboration with 1LoD

  • Liaise with 1LoD to ensure:
  • onboarding standards are understood and correctly applied
  • alerts are handled consistently
  • escalation thresholds are clear
  • Provide guidance and clarification
  • Balance compliance quality with operational practicality, while maintaining independence
  • Ensure changes are clearly communicated and properly implemented by 1LoD
