littlebigworld is the culture-forward marketing & communications agency amplifying queer imagination and care-centered politics. We work with documentary filmmakers, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to craft campaigns and experiences that instigate a more liberatory world. We’re a tight-knit yet distributed team, and we don’t do generic things.
Role Description
We’re looking for a strategic storyteller who will write across our client portfolio. From op-eds in a nonprofit leader’s voice and monthly newsletters serving communities of color, to social and web copy that activates. We’re looking for someone that can both write and strategize for different audiences and jump into diverse voices. This is a freelance contract position, 100% remote (U.S.).
Qualifications
You can write, really write. Clean prose that sounds like a person, not a template. You can shift between a filmmaker’s voice and a funder letter and a newsletter and make all of them sound right. Range matters more than polish.
You work independently. We’re distributed across time zones. You’ll get direction and check-ins, but you manage your own time and flag problems early.
Nice to have but not required: media relationships. If you have PR experience, especially with multicultural media, progressive publications, arts and culture, and/or documentary press, we want to especially want to hear from you.
Compensation: $3500-5000/month
