About us
Lossi 36 is an online media project founded in 2018 to provide engaging, well-researched content about Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. We have since published over 800 articles, some of which have been republished by media platforms like New Eastern Europe, osTraum, and Novastan.
We are looking for a new Communications Officer to contribute to our project on a voluntary basis. This is an unpaid position.
Responsibilities
The Communications Team is responsible for Lossi 36’s outreach and visibility across multiple platforms. Together, the team:
- Manages a selection of our organization's social media pages (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and Facebook).
- Regularly creates and posts content related to our articles, our weekly newsletter, or ongoing projects.
- Produces visuals for Lossi 36's articles using Canva, ensuring all content abides by the brand guidelines and organization standards.
- Measures, analyzes, and archives key performance indicators for Lossi 36 social media accounts.
- Take a leading role in specific content areas depending on interest and skills (including potential audiovisual content)
- Contribute proactively to brainstorming, planning, and evaluating communications activities.
Lossi 36 is a fast-evolving project and you should be available to create content and contribute on a regular basis, generally a few hours per week depending on ongoing projects and publication cycles.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have an innovative approach and a passion for content creation and graphic design
- Have strong interest in the Lossi 36 regions
- Have prior experience working in communications and using basic tools such as Canva or Google Analytics
