Role Description:
This remote internship offers an opportunity to be a Communications and Social Media Intern, responsible for managing community interactions, outreach, and social media presence for the AI & Equality community. Join us in advocating for an AI with a human rights-based approach while gaining practical experience in communications and social media strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day community interactions and engagement on the platform
- Support ongoing projects and initiatives within the community
- Conduct outreach to internal and external stakeholders
- Draft strategic communications materials
- Curate content for social media platforms
- Assist in the development of communication strategies
- Contribute to the creation of monthly newsletters
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in writing press releases and strategic communications
- Proficiency in internal communications
- Strong writing skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Passion for AI, human rights, gender equality, and women's empowerment
- Knowledge of AI, human rights, or feminist movements and issues is a plus
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
