Commercial Director – Animal Health (America)
A client of mine is seeking a Commercial Director to lead and grow their animal health business across the Americas. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for sales, key accounts, and commercial strategy across multiple species, including ruminants, poultry, swine, and companion animals.
Location: Flexible within the Americas (US/Canada/Brazil), with regular travel to support field teams and key accounts.
Your role:
- Lead and manage the commercial team, including sales managers, account managers, and technical sales specialists
- Define and execute the commercial strategy for the region, ensuring growth targets and profitability goals are met
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, integrators, farms, and veterinary partners
- Collaborate with marketing, technical, and regulatory teams to launch new products and optimize commercial performance
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy and decision-making
- Report directly to the VP/GM of Animal Health and contribute to global business planning
We’re looking for someone with:
✅ 10+ years’ experience in commercial leadership in the animal health, nutrition, or feed sector
✅ Proven success managing multi-species sales teams and key accounts
✅ Strong understanding of B2B sales, distributor management, and farm-level relationships
✅ Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and P&L management
✅ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
✅ Willingness to travel across the region
