About The Role

The Commercial Associate will be a driving force behind Novu’s GTM growth, working across demand generation, sales, and early customer support. You will help build the GTM engine from the ground up: identifying and engaging prospective customers, shaping our messaging, managing pipeline, and supporting deals from first touch through early adoption.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role designed for ambitious, technical self-starters who want to learn every part of the commercial side of an open-source developer platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and prioritize target segments, accounts, and personas, then run outbound campaigns to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads through thoughtful discovery, building and maintaining a healthy, well-documented pipeline.
  • Support and, over time, own deals from first touch through close, including preparing materials and keeping our CRM accurate and up to date.
  • Help onboard and support early customers, ensuring smooth implementations and capturing feedback for Product and Engineering to refine our GTM strategy.

You Must Have

  • A strong track record of top performance in demanding environments (e.g. engineering, banking, consulting, competitive sports, or a sales team).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: motivated to help build a business, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to roll up your sleeves on any task.
  • Technical aptitude: coding and engineering knowledge, plus genuine curiosity about developer workflows, open-source, and infrastructure products.
  • Exceptional learning velocity: you actively seek feedback, self-reflect, and push yourself to grow your commercial and technical skills.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to B2B SaaS, developer tools, or open-source communities.
  • Prior experience in any GTM role (SDR/BDR, sales, CS, RevOps, consulting), especially in early-stage startups.
