Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Cloud Engineer. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure. Daily tasks include developing solutions to optimize performance, building and managing databases, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable cloud operations. Collaboration with the development and operations teams is a key aspect of this role for deploying and managing efficient cloud solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Software Development and scripting to create, deploy, and manage scalable solutions
- Experience with Cloud Computing and Infrastructure management
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Linux systems
- Knowledge of Databases, including their configuration and management
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimise performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain production cloud infrastructure
Support deployments and CI/CD processes
Monitor system performance and uptime
Resolve infrastructure-related incidents
Improve scalability and cost efficiency
Maintain infrastructure documentation
Requirements
2+ years managing cloud infrastructure in production
Experience with at least one major cloud provider
Strong understanding of monitoring and system reliability
Experience supporting engineering teams
Fluent English and ability to work remotely
Nice to Have
Experience with fintech or data-heavy systems
Infrastructure as Code experience
Familiarity with compliance or security requirements
