The Opportunity

A visionary, execution-driven Chief Technology Officer is sought to lead the evolution of a global logistics and freight forwarding technology platform. This dynamic role offers the chance to shape the technological foundation and future of a company committed to digitizing and streamlining supply chain operations worldwide.


The CTO will take the reins of a well-established, product-centric software organization, leading strategic technology initiatives, scaling high-performing teams, and delivering impactful digital solutions that drive customer success and market leadership.

Core Responsibilities


Technology Strategy & Vision

  • Define and articulate a forward-looking technology vision that aligns with long-term product and business goals.
  • Own the technical roadmap, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and innovation are embedded across all platforms.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for all things technology—translating strategic direction into actionable frameworks and solutions.


Product & Platform Leadership

  • Oversee full lifecycle product development, from ideation and prototyping through to launch, scale, and iteration.
  • Make sound architectural and design decisions across multiple technology stacks, ensuring they meet business needs while being efficient, secure, and future-proof.
  • Prioritize engineering deliverables that balance speed, reliability, and performance.


Engineering Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor globally distributed teams of engineers, QA professionals, architects, and DevOps specialists.
  • Foster a performance culture rooted in innovation, agility, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Evaluate and implement best-in-class design patterns and development methodologies.


Technical Governance & Best Practices

  • Promote and enforce robust standards for code quality, security, performance, and system integrity.
  • Champion automation testing, DevOps adoption, and CI/CD workflows to accelerate delivery while maintaining stability.
  • Maintain compliance with emerging cybersecurity and data protection best practices.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with leaders in Product, Design, Sales, and Marketing to ensure all technology efforts are aligned with customer and market needs.
  • Support go-to-market strategies with seamless platform integration and strong technical enablement.


Innovation & Emerging Technologies

  • Identify and integrate emerging technologies such as AI/ML, advanced analytics, and workflow automation that offer competitive advantages.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation and innovation within the engineering organization.


Infrastructure & Scalability

  • Ensure infrastructure stability, data integrity, and system availability across all platforms and geographies.
  • Lead efforts to optimize cloud architecture and enhance platform scalability as customer demand grows.


Budgeting & Resource Allocation

  • Own and manage the technology budget, ensuring strategic investments in tools, systems, talent, and vendor relationships.
  • Maximize ROI on engineering and infrastructure spend while maintaining agility and responsiveness to business needs.


Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role such as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Technology.
  • Proven experience overseeing the design and delivery of SaaS products, ideally in B2B environments.
  • Experience in logistics tech, freight forwarding systems, or supply chain software.


Qualifications

  • Technical depth in cloud platforms, system architecture, and full-stack development (e.g., Java, Angular, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to scale engineering organizations and lead distributed teams across regions.
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, data engineering, or DevOps automation tools and practices.
  • Background in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments where adaptability is key.
