A high-growth, confidential healthcare technology platform is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale end-to-end operations across a regulated, multi-site environment.
This role partners closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to translate strategy into execution, optimize performance, and build scalable infrastructure across operations, fulfillment, compliance, and customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
- Own full operational performance across pharmacy operations, fulfillment, warehousing, and customer experience
- Build and scale systems, processes, and KPIs to support rapid growth while maintaining regulatory and service excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on speed, quality, accuracy, and cost efficiency
- Lead performance metrics including fulfillment turnaround, inventory accuracy, unit economics, and service quality
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Partner with pharmacy and clinical leadership to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support expansion into new markets, states, and service lines
- Ensure patient safety, operational integrity, and audit readiness at all times
Financial & Strategic Execution
- Own operational budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
- Partner with finance on P&L management, margin optimization, and unit economics
- Translate company strategy into actionable operating plans with measurable outcomes
Fulfillment, Supply Chain & Logistics
- Oversee warehousing, inventory management, and distribution operations
- Optimize logistics networks to improve speed, accuracy, and cost performance
- Manage key vendor and partner relationships across supply chain and technology
People & Culture
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing, distributed teams
- Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop leadership bench strength and succession planning
Technology & Infrastructure
- Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance operational systems and analytics
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives across operations
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in healthcare operations, pharmacy, regulated fulfillment, or e-commerce environments
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience scaling complex, multi-site operations
- Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial acumen
- Experience leading distributed teams in high-growth settings
- Data-driven operator with strong analytical capabilities
Preferred
- Advanced degree such as PharmD, RPh, or MBA
- Background in digital health, online pharmacy, telepharmacy, or mail-order healthcare
- Experience with automation, advanced warehouse systems, or fulfillment technology
