We’re Hiring: Chief Health Economist (Equity-Based | Early-Stage Startup | Prevention-Focused)

Rypple is a mission-driven, early-stage health startup working to shift societies from treatment to health-ing — a proactive, systems-based approach to wellbeing. We partner with governments and public-sector organisations to strengthen prevention through evidence, economic analysis, and decision-support tools.
We’re now looking for a Chief Health Economist to lead the next phase of Telos — our emerging decision-intelligence platform that helps policymakers understand the economic and societal value of preventive interventions.
Telos has early traction and a growing pipeline of government partners. We are now seeking a senior economist to take full responsibility for Telos’ economic direction, modelling logic, and methodological integrity as the platform evolves.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is excited by:
• shaping a tool from its early development stage
• building economic frameworks that inform real policy decisions
• leading the conceptual and methodological architecture of a prevention-focused platform
• operating in a high-autonomy, startup environment
What we’re looking for:
• PhD or equivalent experience in Health Economics, Economics, Public Policy, Econometrics, or related field
• Strong experience in economic evaluation, decision-analytic modelling, or public health economics
• Ability to design economic frameworks (ROI, cost-effectiveness, forecasting, equity impacts)
• Experience working with public-sector or multilateral organisations
• Someone who enjoys building early-stage products and shaping direction, not just maintaining systems
• Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging policymakers and technical teams
Compensation:
As an early-stage organisation, we are not able to offer salary at this moment.
However, we are open to discussing meaningful equity participation with the right candidate who wants to help build Telos — and Rypple — from this formative phase.
