A leading Munich‑based insurance company is seeking an experienced Change Manager for a 12‑month freelance contract. The successful candidate will lead and support organisational change initiatives across strategic transformation programmes, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and operating models.

You will work closely with programme leadership, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to assess change impacts, develop change strategies, manage communications, and deliver training and adoption activities. This role requires strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to navigate complex corporate environments.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Change Manager within large‑scale transformation programmes
  • Background in insurance or broader financial services
  • Strong understanding of change methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to conduct change impact assessments and develop change strategies
  • Experience designing and delivering communication and training materials
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Fluency in English; German is a strong advantage

Requirements

  • Available for a 12‑month freelance contract
  • On‑site presence in Munich as required (hybrid options typically available)
  • EU citizenship or valid work rights for Germany
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within matrixed organisations
