WindShape SA is a Swiss deeptech scale-up company pushing the boundaries of aerodynamic simulation and advanced wind generation technologies. The company develops highly sophisticated solutions used by leading organisations across aerospace, drones, robotics, mobility, sports performance, and advanced industrial R&D environments, helping customers test, analyse, and optimise complex systems in increasingly demanding real-world conditions.
As the company enters an important new phase of structuration and growth, the co-founders are seeking an independent Chairperson or Chairwoman to lead the Board and accompany the company during its next stage of development.
The profile sought is a highly experienced Chair who has already accompanied the scaling of an engineering-driven or industrial technology company from an entrepreneurial organisation toward a more structured, industrialised, and operationally scalable company.
The company is specifically looking for a Chair with strong exposure to financial oversight, growth management, and organisational structuring within scaling engineering or industrial environments.
This includes experience with growth financing environments, financial structuring, cash management, budgeting, KPI monitoring, and financial performance oversight in companies undergoing rapid operational evolution.
The ideal candidate brings substantial experience sitting on Swiss boards and acting as Chair within Swiss governance environments. The company is looking for someone highly comfortable with Swiss board processes, governance expectations, decision-making frameworks, fiduciary duties, liabilities, and the practical realities of accompanying a company through increasingly demanding growth and structuring phases.
Strong exposure to B-to-B engineering and product development environments is also essential, including a solid understanding of advanced technology organisations, R&D cycles, engineering teams, and the transformation of innovation into industrial products and scalable commercial solutions.
The role also requires strong general management and organisational structuring capabilities, together with experience accompanying change management situations and helping companies evolve from founder-led entrepreneurial environments toward more structured scale-up organisations.
