Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager at Velocity.
The Business Development Manager will identify, qualify, and close new trader partnerships, affiliate partnerships and institutional client opportunities across digital asset and financial markets.
Daily responsibilities include building and managing a pipeline of prospects, conducting outreach, leading discovery calls, and delivering tailored platform presentations and demos.
The role involves negotiating commercial terms, and supporting the onboarding of new partners and high-value clients.
The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with product, marketing, and operations to refine value propositions, gather market feedback, and help shape go-to-market strategies.
The individual will also track key performance metrics, prepare regular reports on business development activities, and represent Velocity at virtual and in-person industry events when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnerships in fintech, crypto, or financial services.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and deal closing.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with institutional clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Comfortable conducting product demos, delivering clear presentations, and communicating complex concepts simply.
- Knowledge of digital asset markets, spot and perpetual trading, and exchange business models is highly beneficial.
- Data-driven approach, with experience using CRM tools and sales analytics to track performance and optimize strategy.
- Strong negotiation, contract review, and commercial acumen, with attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and globally distributed team.
- Willingness to work across time zones and occasionally attend industry events or client meetings as required.
