The BCA Europe Commercial Excellence team operates within the core of the commercial organisation and delivers value to our customers by fully leveraging the power of the BCA product and service ecosystem. It is a highly cross functional department.


The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth by maximizing this value proposition, with a particular emphasis on vehicle remarketing operations, working together with HQ marketing and sales teams and also the country level business units.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Sales and marketing teams to identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the automotive sector, including OEMs, dealer groups, leasing companies, rental operators.


  • Build, maintain and take ownership of the BCA Europe value proposition through thorough understanding of the product and service ecosystem and be the first line of support for Key Account Management (KAM) and Strategic Sales Management (SSM) teams.


  • Manage and drive strategic Pan-European projects, coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders.


  • Design and implement vehicle remarketing processes based on customer’s unique needs to maximize remarketing efficiency while positioning BCA as a key strategic partner.


  • Build and nurture long-standing relationships with commercial partners.


  • Close collaboration with country teams as well as Marketing, Data, and Product.


  • Lead on RFI/RFQ responses and negotiate contracts specific to remarketing solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.


  • Lead on key internal transformational projects linked to data intelligence.


Required Skills and Experience:


  • At least 8 years of Business development, strategic sales or commercial account management experience in the automotive industry, especially within vehicle remarketing, fleet, leasing, rental or automotive financial services.


  • Deep understanding of the vehicle remarketing value chain, including logistics, auction processes, digital remarketing solutions is a plus.


  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and consultative selling abilities, at ease in presenting services and solutions to an executive audience, and proven record of managing complex sales cycles.


  • Proficiency at MX Excel and MS PowerPoint. Experience using vehicle management systems, CRM, analytics tools, and remarketing platforms will be an advantage.


  • Analytical skills to assess market trends, vehicle values, and remarketing performance.


  • Experience of working in a cross cultural and cross functional environment across different countries and at HQ level.


  • Proficient written and verbal English-speaking skills. Additional European languages are an advantage.
