Overview
Our client is a widely recognised in leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of equipment for the development of telecommunications networks as well as the distribution of professional equipment and tooling. The company is entering a growth phase, expanding its export sales team in the Scandinavia / Eastern Europe region and is now recruiting an Export Business Development Manager to lead this development.
Reporting to the Export Sales Director, but with great autonomy, you will define and deploy the strategic and commercial export policy to develop turnover and sales in the projected areas of Scandinavia, Baltic countries, Eastern Europe, and potentially some smaller markets in Benelux. This gives a broad remit to achieve commercial targets and bring new customers into your portfolio.
Some key responsibilities and activities
- Identify prospects and convert them into customers
- Monitor, manage and develop existing customer accounts in the defined area
- Develop commercial activity among active equipment manufacturers E.g., Nokia, Ericsson, etc.
- Prescribe new ranges and technical solutions to customers
- Negotiate commercial agreements following the group's commercial policy
- Monitor and report essential elements of the activity
- Ensure competitive monitoring of market trends and expectations in order to adapt the product offering
- Establish quotes, technical and commercial offers with the Marketing department
- Carry out regular reporting to the export sales department: activities, sales forecasts, sales achieved, etc.
Job characteristics
Location: Remote/Home office Stockholm (base), with 70% travel throughout Scandinavia and Eastern Europe
Remuneration: OTE €90K
Profile sought
Education: Higher education such as Management School, Engineer, MASTER in Sales, commerce or equivalent
Experience: Minimum six years of experience in major exports. Fluency in English is essential. A second regional language is a great advantage. Knowledge of the market and mobile network players (FTTA) is a string advantage.
