Mantell Associates is partnered with an innovative Biotechnology company, who is seeking an experienced, commercially focused Business Development Manager - Europe to drive strategic growth and establish high‑impact partnerships across key European markets.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a defining role in shaping our commercial footprint in Europe and to contribute directly to the company’s growth strategy.
Business Development Manager, Europe - Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and lead new business opportunities across European territories with a focus on strategic partnerships, collaborations and revenue generation
- Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, academic and strategic partners
- Drive full commercial deal cycles, from lead identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation and contract closure
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams - including R&D, Marketing, Regulatory and Operations - to align commercial strategy with product development and market needs
- Monitor market and competitor trends, provide actionable insights, and refine business strategies to ensure competitive positioning
- Represent the company at key industry conferences, partnering events and stakeholder meetings throughout Europe.
Business Development Manager, Europe - Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business Administration or related field
- Proven success in business development, alliance management or strategic sales roles within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of closing complex commercial deals and managing cross‑border partnerships
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., Spanish, German, French) highly advantageous
- Comfortable working in an international, fast‑paced and matrixed environment with frequent travel across Europe
