Summary
A global CDMO has recently launched a brand-new, GMP Drug Product facility and is now looking for an experienced Director of Business Development to lead growth across the DACH region. This is a prime opportunity to join a company with significant capacity ready to sell, a strong reputation in sterile and oral solid dose, and the infrastructure to deliver high-quality, tailored services to biopharma clients.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland within the Drug Product service line
- Represent a state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing facility focused on sterile and solid oral dosage forms
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet growth targets
- Identify, approach, and close opportunities with biotech and small-to-mid pharma clients
- Collaborate closely with internal technical teams, project management, and executive leadership
- Represent the company at industry conferences and client meetings
- Report directly to the Head of Business Development
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in a CDMO, specifically within Drug Product
- Strong network and commercial understanding of the DACH region
- Proven track record of developing new business and managing complex sales cycles
- Fluent in German or English
- Based in Germany or Switzerland, with the ability to travel regionally as needed
- Experience working with formulation, GMP manufacturing, and packaging services is strongly preferred
